The dramatic composition depicts the armored knight Sir Theobold Redbeard bearing a lance upon his barded white steed, witnessing his home city of Lighthall vanishing into an extradimensional rift amidst swirling magical lights and stellar sparkles. The iconic artwork was subsequently repurposed by Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) as the box cover art for the classic 1989 Forgotten Realms computer role-playing game Hillsfar.
