Painted by Clyde Caldwell in 1992, 'Midnight Snack' depicts a sensual vampiress clad in a revealing black gown and red-lined cape, standing poised in a moonlit gothic cemetery entranceway above her freshly slain male victim. Originally intended as a cover for TSR's gothic horror role-playing line Ravenloft, the piece was considered too risqué for standard gaming module covers and was instead published in the TSR 1993 Women of Fantasy Calendar, later appearing in Caldwell's retrospective art books and trading card sets.
