The scene depicts the moment a pile of four arriving dwarves—Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, and Thorin Oakenshield—tumbles through the open round door of Bag End onto the floor, with Gandalf standing tall behind them and a startled Bilbo Baggins looking on.
