This is Larry Elmore's stunning 1986 illustration capturing the death of Sturm Brightblade, the noble knight of Solamnia from the Dragonlance Chronicles. The scene depicts Sturm standing victorious amid snow-covered fortress ruins, golden hair flowing beneath ornate armor, his red cloak billowing as he raises his spear over a fallen enemy. Towering stone walls and brooding skies frame this moment of tragic heroism—a composition rich with golden armor, crimson cloth, and pale snow contrasting cool blue-grey tones. Elmore's signature style brings classical fantasy illustration to life, emphasizing honor and sacrifice in this pivotal narrative moment. Your print is produced on premium 170 or 200 GSM paper using pigment inks, available in matte or satin finish. Choose from three vertical sizes—12"x16", 24"x32", or 30"x40"—and receive your print rolled securely in a protective tube, ready to frame and display.
