Painted by Clyde Caldwell in 1994, "Armed & Dangerous!" is an original, standalone heroic fantasy pin-up created shortly after the artist left TSR, Inc. to return to freelance illustration. The composition depicts a dark-haired barbarian warrior woman seen from behind, equipped with horned headgear, minimal armor, a round shield, and a double-bladed battle axe while posing against a barren landscape with a fallen log, animal skull, a red rose, and a flock of geese in flight. The figure was modeled after cult horror actress and "Scream Queen" Brinke Stevens (whose name is inscribed along the top curve of the battle axe), and the painting was originally released as a limited-edition art print co-signed by both Caldwell and Stevens.
