Painted circa 1952 by American commercial illustrator Art Frahm (1907–1981), "A Sudden Gust in the Rain" is a classic example of his iconic "Ladies in Distress" or "Falling Panties" pin-up calendar series. The artwork depicts a glamorous mid-century blonde in a red dress stepping out into a rainstorm, whose undergarments have snapped and dropped to her ankles as a gust of wind catches her skirt. Rendered humorously unable to fix her attire because both arms are weighed down with grocery bags, she spills an egg carton, an apple, and a rolling tin can, complemented by Frahm's hallmark stalk of leafy celery protruding from the sack.

Professionally restored and reproduced from the original artwork, this print preserves the powerful visual impact of Art Frahm's painting while offering exceptional detail and color fidelity for modern display. • Premium 200 g/m² matte paper • Exceptional detail and color reproduction • Professionally enhanced and restored image quality • Available in 12x18", 16x24", and 24x36" sizes • Unframed for custom display options • Printed in the USA
